1982
Klaus Kukuk receives his Diploma in Automotive Engineering and is now holding the title “Dipl.-Ing.”. Klaus begins his career as a vehicle expert in the field of damage and classic cars.
1986
Opening of his own engineering office "Ingenieurbüro Kukuk" by Dipl.-Ing. Klaus Kukuk
1989
Application of the first chemical analysis of a chassis, using optical emission spectroscopy, in order to date the age of the frame of the vehicle - in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Cologne.
1996
Application of the Fry engraving method for the inspection of relief marks & chassis numbers

2D & X-ray image in collaboration with the University of Padua and the renowned restorer Dino Cognolato, Alfa Romeo 6C

Our long-time employee and office manager Melinda Olma joins our team. In her 20th year, she shines every day with her experience and keeps the team together with her presence.

Dipl.-Ing. Klaus Kukuk has been the first recognised, publicly appointed and sworn expert for classic cars, appointed by the Cologne Chamber of Industry and Commerce. He is serving in court since 2011.
2013
Inspection of relief markings on behalf of Mercedes-Benz Classic using the 3D/CT method in collaboration with the IWP + Fraunhofer Institute.
2016
Laura Kukuk joins the office full time, during her Universities studies in Mechanical & Automotive Engineering
2018
Laura Kukuk has been appointed jury member both at the Concours d'Elegance Pebble Beach & Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este - she served as the youngest jury member ever
2019
Laura Kukuk von Glahn completes her University studies and serves as Head & Lead Engineer, alongside Klaus
2020
Niclas Kukuk von Glahn joins KUKUK as Kfz-Sachverständiger
2024
Niclas serves as lead engineer & in function of chief operating officer
